PRINCESS THEATRE.
THE NEW PROGRAMME. The novelty and charm of the brief review of old-time vaudeville presented at the Princess Theatre during last week by the Veterans of Variety won immediate and deserved success with patrons, and everyone will be delighted to hear that this quintet cf old-time stars is to be retained for another week. They will present an entirely new repertoire of the old songs that won them fame in the last century. Tho whimsical Jake Friedman, lovely lively Lily Rurnand, sweet-voiced Florence Hinton that remarkable sifflour and comedian Arthur Slater, and debonair Geo. Campbell,- one and all are performers of a high order and merit the ovations nightly accorded them. While these veterans hold the stage at the Princess Theatre there is an hour assured of exquisite entertainment. TVo new vaudeville acts will also be featured, Violet Victoria and Taylor and Summers. Miss Victoria is a London dancer and eoubrette, who has had a very distinguished career, despite her youth, having been featured in many musical shows m England, South Africa, and Australia She is said to be an entirely charming artist. J. G. Taylor and Dorothy Summers need no introduction. On the several occasions of their visit here they have always had something novel and clever to nhibit, and this occasion is no exception. Mr Taylor, a comedian of rare originality, has a y®fy amusing new sketch, “The Village Minister;” which is full of human nature and whimsical comedy. . In the second half, under the direction of Walter George, the Moon and Morris Revue Company will stage “The Ame O’clock Revue,’’ a fast-moving, handsomelydressed, and extremely comical piece, abounding in pretty ballets, tuneful numbers, and highly hilarious situations, admirably suited to the distinctive comedy methods of Geo. Moon and Dan Morns, the chief fun-makers.
