Sir Samuel Hoare {Minister for Air) visited tiro Napier works at Acton, at which were manufactured the engines ot tho aeroplane in which lie flew to the Near East. He was glad, ho said, that Napier and Rolls-Royce engines were keeping up the highest reputation all over the world. Mr Fokker, the Dutch designer of aircraft, in an interview, declared that British engines had been responsible for practically every recent big flight. Airships, in his opinion, were safe even it they were, damaged and fighting against adverse conditions. Soon the farthermost parts of the world would be linked up with air services.
