MR CHARLES HACKETT.

FINAL CONCERT. Tho final concert by Mr Charles Haekett, assisted' by M. Brutza and Mr Clarence Raybould attracted it fairly numerous auditory to His Majesty’s Theatre last evening. These three musicians wore eminently successful in pleasing their audience, which overstepped all reasonable bounds in tho matter of recalls but had its demands generously mot. Mr Haekett was in capjtal voice, and everything ho sang was rendered most attractively. His singing of all his selections was very artistic, and it would be difficult to place one in advance of another Tho comparatively simple ballads were most expressively sung, and in the more florid music Mr Haekett. made a great impression. In the latter direction perhaps nothing better was heard than “Nichavo.” At tho end of tho concert Mr Haekett was rcneatedly recalled, and sang one or two ditties of the rollicking order to the intense enjoyment of thosd present M. Bratza was quite as successful as Mr Haekett in gaining the good opinion of his audience, and had to submit to recall after recall. A feature of his violin work is the extreme ease with which ho plays everything ho selects. Where necessary, he plays with great delicacy, and is a brilliant executant. His biggest piece last evening was Saint Saoan s “Rondo Capriccioso,*’ which was remarkably well performed Mr Raybould, who is tho accompanist, carried out his important duties exceptionally well.
