Their Limited Philosophy.

Case of the Sceptical Doctors. Among the leslhuoiiios read at tlm thanksgiving services last, night was the following:— A University man writes: “Yon may tell those sceptical doctors ‘that there are more things in Heaven and earth than aro dreamed of in their philosophy.’ I had been suffering from an impediment in my speech since I was four years old. This morning I am talking bettor than I have done for many years, ami in a few days I shall be able to report further progress. The cure began some days before the mission. It began as soon as I became convinced that God willed to cure me. The manner of reaching this conclusion was ■my answering the questions: ‘lf Christ were on earth to-day, and you applied to Him, would He say yon nay?’ ‘Has Ho not far greater power and just as much willingness now as then?’ Mr Hickson’s hands made no difference, but I acknowledge with gratitude that his speech in the Cathedral on Wednesday morning strengthened the faith I already had. Hence I can say in the words of the Master,.Para Thoo panta chinata (with God all things are possible). I am each moment now. after having committed myself completely into His hands, breathing in by faith the healing power of the Great Healer. Primarily, it is not a case of bodily healing at all, but a great spiritual uplift. The bodily cure follows the latter. My advice to others is, ‘Yield fully to the sway of the Divine. Master, and keep yielded. Then believe moment by moment that He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that wo can ask or think. Gloria in oxeelsia Deo. (Glory to God in the Highest,).’ ”
