The General Confederation of Labour has adopted a resolution proclaiming its independence of the Government parties, but declaring that the interests of the working classes are not opposed to any particular Government. Semi-official circles regard this decision as being most important, as hitherto the confederation was looked upon as a revolutionary organisation.—Reuter. r SIGNOR MUSSOLINI’S INFLUENCE. ROME, August 26. (Received Aug. 27, at 7.40 p.m.) The Labour Federation’s resolution declared that it is free of all parties, including the Communists, but was ready to co-operate with the Government on technical matters.
