Senator Jones, who is in charge of the Ship Subsidy Bill, has agreed to give two hours daily for debate on the British Debt Funding Bill, beginning on Tuesday, the rest of the day to be devoted to ship measures. If, however, the Debt Bill can be passed with a few hours’ additional debate on Wednesday and Thursday, Mr Jones will lav the Shipping Bill aside. Senator Smoot has planned to call up the Debt Bill on Tuesday, but he has now indicated that it may be deferred till Wednesday.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
