SENATE APPROVAL EXPECTED.

POSITION OF OTHER DEBTOR NATIONS. NEW YORK, February 13. (Received Feb. 15, at 8.5 p.m.) The New York Times’s Washington correspondent says that the American Debt Commission Is confident the Senate will give its approval to the Funding Bill. It is making plans to arrange a formal agree ment with Great Britain which it hopes to close within 10 days after Congressional action. There is still a doubt as to what attitude the American Commission will take towards the other debtor Governments, especially Italy and France. It is understood, however, that the other debtors will be informed concerning the British arrangement in the hope that they will indicate their readiness to negotiate a settlement of their debts on the same basis. It is considered probable in view of the Ruhr crisis that the United States will not press F'rance at the present time. —■A. and N.Z. Cable.
