BLUFF REGATTA.
NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS. (Pen United Press Association.) INVERCARGILL. January 1. 'ibe New Zealand championship regatta was held at Bluff to-day. The events were interfered with by a slight breeze, which made tho water choppy; Three championship events were rowed. The Single Sculls resulted: W. Stevenson (Auckland) 1, St. Clair (Hamilton) 2, Molsworth (Hamilton) 3. Wellington also started. W r on by two and ahalf lengths ■ third six lengths away. CHAMPIONSHIP FOURS.—Wanganui Union (Healey, Ryland, Sharp, and Comhes) 1, Avon 2, Awarua 3. A good race. Won bv a lengtli. CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLE SCULLS—.; Hamilton (St. Clair and Molesworth) 1, WTanganui Union 2. Auckland 5. Hamilton won easily.
