GENERAL NEWS

The entertainment at St. Paul’s bazaar on Wednesday and Thursday nights was furnished by the Young Men’s Club and was most successful. The performers who contributed wore Messrs Andrews, James, Finnerty, Edgar, Stabb. Lockhart, Davis, Abernethy, West, and N. Low, while Mrs Simpson acted as accompanist, and Master J Y Edgar recited. The chief item of Thursday evening was a wonderful series of card and conjuring tricks by Mr D. Edwin Booth. The enjoyment of the audience was sufficient proof of the excellence of the entertainment. The attendance at the sale for the two days was better than usual.
