COUNCIL OF SEX EDUCATION
A special meeting of the Council of Sex Education was held on Tuesday last, Canon Novill presiding, to elect a new secretary, consequent on the resignation of Mr Butchers, and also to meet Dr Sandston, of Christchurch, a prominent member of the Social Hygiene Council of Christchurch. Dr Sandston gave an interesting description of the work of the Social Hygiene Council, which, he said, had been doing useful preventive work in Christchurch, having established both male and female clinics, and having also organised most useful and helpful lectures to parents, through the various school committees. Great interest had in the end been developed and much valuable knowledge had been imparted without the help of any particular literature at all or anatomical details. It was decided to follow out this lino of work in Dunedin next year. The Rov. C. BushKing was elected secretary in place of Mr Butchers, whose resignation _was accepted with much regret.
