THE SOCIALIST PROGRAMME.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib.—As a worker I would ask information from some of the leaders of the Labour Representation Committee on the following questions:—(l) If the wage system is abolished, what is proposed to be given to the worker in return for his labour? f2) If Capital is the enemy of Labour, how is it prdposod to start and carry on manufacturing industries without it? (5) How are the proposals to nationalise ail the. means of production and distribution to Ire carried out with general advantage to the commonweal? If those who profess to hare possession of the details to carry out the platform roughly indicated above will publish them in plain language they will confer a boon upon all workers and the public.—l am. etc.. A Worker. Sir,- Whoso malignant influence is it that is at work trying to bring about a world revolution among the workers? We read about tile wage and bonus cut. Also we read that various commodities arc advancing in price, such as cloth a shilling per yard and butter within an ace of 2s per pound. Revolution would mean that the worker and bourgeois class would bo ruined. The Russian worker and bourgeois are dying like flies from disease and starvation. But the third party or Soviet are revelling in luxury, and have specialists from Germany to attend their sick, and plenty of gold for world propaganda. Truly an emperor could not. wish for more.—l am, etc., Verbuji Sap.
