FORGED PRESS CABLEGRAM

NO RAND TREASON TRIALS.

LONDON, June 14. With reference to Reuter’s telegram announcing arrests for treason at Pretoria, it appears that Reuter’s Agency has been made the victim of a forgery. The telegram bore the signature of Reuter’s correspondent at Pretoria, and •was correctly and regularly addressed; but the correspondent sent no such message, nor has he any knowledge of it. The matter has been placed in the hands of the police.
