(Received June 27, at 9.40 p.m.) Mary Macdonald, the possessor of a university degree, and versed in many foreign languages, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment at Brighton for hotel robberies. She is described as the most expert woman hotel thief known to Scotland Yard. _ Stolen jewels worth £SOOO were found in her room.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
