ALLEGATIONS IN REICHSTAG

MONSTER REPUBLICAN DEMON STRATION.

Press Association. —By Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, June 26. The Republican demonstration in the Lustgarten created an enormous impression. Two hundred thousand people were present. , In the Reichstag on Sunday Herr Weis, on behalf of the Majority Socialists, declared that the Monarchists’ flag in Germany had become the standard of murder. Herr Helffcrich should disappear from public life.

Herr Hergt (a Pan-German) denounced the tragedy, but he said that the presidential decree, forbidding Nationalist gatherings,, was opposed to the spirit of the Constitution, and was destructive to liberty. Herr Crispien (Independent Socialist) stated that all the officers should be dismissed from the Reichswehr and the police. The property which formerly was owned by the ruling houses should be confiscated for the purpose of reparations. Dr Wirth said he saw the Lustgarten demonstration, which was orderly and calm; but beneath this discipline lay a volcano, the eruption of which would teach a severe lesson. The nation’s enemies were those who poured poison into the wounds of the nation. Those enemies were on the Right.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
