ADVICE FROM MR COATES. (Feb United Frees Association.) TIMARU, March 25. The Hon. J. G. Coates, who arrived this afternoon from the south and discussed with the Borough Council the question of the supply of electricity, said that if his officers’ figures were correct South Canterbury could be supplied from Lake Coleridge within a comparatively short time. He urged tho formation of a Power Board to reticulate and retail the supply. Mr Coates went north after tho meeting.
