PEACE PROBLEMS
BRUSSELS FINANCIAL CONFER-
ENCE.
PRACTICAL RESULTS DOUBTFUL.
Press Association—By Telegraph^—Copyright.
LONDON, September 27. (Rec. Sept. 29, at 0.10 a.m.) . The Financial Conference at Brussels has completed reading reports from various nations and discussions thereon have begun. It is over early to gauge whether there will be more than academic results. Newspaper correspondents point out that the practical results may be few, as the resolutions must be unanimous before they are adopted. An important handicap is the delay in fixing .Germany's reparation. A monotonous feature of the reports has been the emphasising of their resources by nations seeking credits, and the emphasising of internal difficulties by countries likely to be asked to furnish credits, notably the neutrals. The most practical importance is attached to the probable attitude of Britain and America. It is understood that Britain is willing to give the utmost assistance in a united effort to restore the financial world situation, but she is unable to increase the large loans which she has already made to other countries.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
