UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM ACUTE

It is estimated are idle in London. The unemployed in Bir- J roingham and Manchester are increasing at the rate of over 10CO weekly. The Government has decided to hasten plans ior relief work.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
