UPPER HOUSE
PROBABLE APPOINTEES.
CFeom Ode Own Coeoespoxdent.) _ WELLINGTON, June 28. There is still no certainty as to who are to ,be the new legislative Councillors, but it may bo probably taken for granted that tho Hon. E. Mitclielson and Mr R. Scott, the late member for Wakatipu, will get seats in the Upper House. It lias been freely state<i that two of the new councillors -will be the nominees of the Liberal side of tho National Ministry, and there seems every likelihood that on© of these will be Mr P. J. Nerheny. of Auckland. Mr Nerheny is a builder and contractor, and for many years he was a leading in the Liberal-Labour Federation, a strong supporter of the late Mr Seddon ajid Sir Joseph Ward. If he is appointed, I understand he will be the only representative. of the Roman Catholic religion in the Upper House
