SERIOUS FOOD RIOTS.
WOMEN RAID PROVISION SHOPS.

BERLTN, Juno' 27. There lias been a recurrence of food riots in various towns 111 Germany. The most serious was at- Bremen, where the crowds seized the stalls in the market and eold tho goods at much below the prices demanded. Subsequently the women stormed the provision shops. The police dispersed tho crowds. Vorwarts attributes the outbreak to intriguers inciting the populace in order to compel the authorities to take reactionary counter' measures.
Thousands at Hamburg and Altona, protesting against prices, raided the shops. The police were compelled to light the mob. Three of the latter ■were killed and a number wounded.—A. and N.Z. Cable. ROME, Juno 27. Anarchists at Piombino caused food riots, looting residences.and shops. Hand grenades were freely used until troops by volleys killed and wounded many.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
