Tli© junior representative cricket match between Chnstchurch and Wellington concluded to-day, and resulted in a win for Wellington by 70 runs. The Wellington fielding was particularly strong, and Lynaij and Ham's each brought off a \fry pretty catch. Wellington on Saturday had two wickets down in the second innings f;.r 15 runs, and to-day they brought rhair wore up to 161, to which C. Murphy con-.-.buted 65. The southerners had to'make 172 to win, and it was too much for them ns their second innings yielded only 101 nut. TK highest, scores for Chnstchurch were 28 made bv Cunningham, and 13 each l.y tho Mnrtin brothers. Bowling for Christchureh, Andrews took three wiokets fo r 34 runs : Grant, two for 24 •• and J. Martm, three for 47. For Wollmjrton Smith took six wickets for 29 runs and Harris three for 21. INTER-UNTVERSITY MATCH.
