Tho quarterly meeting of the officials of the Dundas Street Methodist Circuit was held on Tuesday evening last,' tho Rev. S. Griffith presiding. A welcome was extended to Mr J. Oliver, of Rayensbourne, who took his seat in the meeting for the lirst time. An apology was presented for the absence of the junior circuit steward, Mr E. J. King, who was out of town. The' rc-vitw of the quarter was very satisfactory. Congregations had been good, and the balance sheet showed a credit balance. In addition to a successful bazaar at Dundas street, the renovation of tho Ravensbourne Church and the installation of the electric light had b.een completed at a cost of £47, most of which had been raised. To complete the effort preparations are being made for a bazaar to be held at an early date. Attention \y;;s given to matteis in conneotion with tho p.i nun.] Methodist Conference, which takes pkicp in Dunedin shortly. Tho collections on March 3 (Conference Sunday) were voted to conference expenses fiind, *md consideration was invn to the provision of homes for conference members. Mr C. \V. Wilkinson, co-superin-tendent of Dundas Street Sunday School, and Mr Crosby, of Ravensbourne Sunday School, on behalf of tho superintendent, Mr David Petrie, gave encouraging reports of their respective schools. In each case the primary department is flourishing and a good work proceeding among .the senior classes. Messrs W. King and E, J. King were re-elected as circuit stewards, and cordially thanked for pnst services. Mr W. King was appointed] representative to conference, with Mr E. J. King as substitute. The weekly meeting of the Resouo Lodge, No. 105, International Order of Good Templars, was well attended. Correspondence was road from the Grand Chief Templar, and one candidate was initiated. Arrangements were made for an official visit to Pioneer Lodge. Ensign Sawyer and members of tho .South Dunedin Salvation Army Baud were in attendance. ;ind rendered a good programme of musical items, solos, ducts, etc.. the items, being much appreciated. Bro. Hilton, D.G.C.T., in moving the voto of thanks, specially mentioned tbr> assistance given to the temperance wort and the lodge by.the Salvation Army, and spoico of the good; fooling- existing between the two bodies, and on bp.half of the lodge wished the ensign and Mrs Sawyer Cotbpeed and success in their new station to which they proceed shortly. Bro. Paiorson. P.C.T.. also spoke and expressed the | hope that" the ensign would become r.cmiainted with the lodges in his new station. Ensign Sawyer suitably replied on behalf of the band and himself, ,ind Bro. Gibson replied on behalf of tho Hope of Dunedin Lodge, after which the lodge closed with tho shifting of tho "Hymn of Prayer for New Zealand Soldiers, , ' the band assisting.
