JUVENILE CONCERT
A juvenile concert on very good lines was given in the Coronation Hall St Kikla, on Saturday evening bofore an audience that filled the building. The concert was given under the supervision of Miss Keates, who aJso had trained the 'children with wonderfully good results. It was ono of tho many patriotic movements that have been on foot of recent times, and tho sum obtained must havo been fairly substantial. This was mainly provided by the charge for admission, but one small performer added to the funds by making an appeal to the hearts and pockets of those present through tho medium of a song which he sang very well. Tho Musselburgh School Band, played selections, l and there wore several recitations which wore nicely given. Club-swinging also found a place in the programme, and Miss Bessie Todd played several violin solos. The principal part of tho entertainment was, however, devoted to special performances by groups of children, and included "Indians," "Hunting Dance," "Japanese Song and Dance," "Goblin Dance," "'Dance 'of the Butterflies," "Flower Song and Danoe" (Miss M'Donald soloist), " Dancing Calisthenics," "Darktown Frolics," ancf " Pierrot Frolics." Several songs were rendered very pleasingly, Master Alfred Nelson proving himself the possessor of a very sweet voice. A gavotte was also danced by six little girls.
