The Nautical Court which inquired into the loss of the lighter Dorset olf 1 Kai-iwi Beach oil August 2 gavo its reserved decision to-day. i The oourt found that the accident was not contributed to .by the neglect of the harbour officials nor by auy defect of the port. Having regard to the proved depth of the water, the court was unable to say what object the vessel struck. The master of the lighter Shamrock (Captain James Irvine) committed a grave error of judgment in not going to the aasißfcanoo ot tho Dorcel; when returning to port, and there was an unaceoimtablo delay in the lighter Thistle going to 'die Dorset's assistance Captain Bertie, of the Dorset, was exonerated from bk.mo. The court made no recamrneaelation as'to easts.
