(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 14. The retort hands at, Wellington gasworks, who stopped work on July 8, resumed yesterday. Robert Bertram, one of tho men concerned in Saturday night's riot, was fined £10 to-day for assaulting Constable Cox while in the execution of his duty. A waterside worker, named Robert Henderson, fell into the harbour and died from shock early this morning. Ho was attending to the lines of a hulk, and in order to facilitate . the operation apparently climbcd up on a railing, a sudden gust of wind causing him to overbalance. Another watersider with a rope hauled the insensible man on to tho hulk. ' After first aid had been rendered, Henderson regained consciousness, and was able to say that he was all rig Jit. However, early this morning he took a turn for tho worse and was taken to the hospital. The authorities there pronounced lifo to be extinct, and said that probably he was dead when taken into the ambulance.
