Mr Russell), and the New Zealand Inscribed Stock Bill (Siir Joseph Ward) wcro introduced by Governor's Message, and were read a first time. TRADE AND COMMERCE ACT. Sir JOSEPH WARD introduced an amendment of-the Trado and Commerce Act to prevent the holders of tea prior to the imposition of tho new duty raising tho price to consumers. If any such increase has taken phico tho consumers will be entitled to a refund. Tho Bill was treated as a matter of urgency and was passed through all stages.
