GRAND THEATRE
The Lash, a powerful and fascinating drama, headed the change at the Grand I hoatre yesterday. The story of "The Lash is cast in the earlier scencs m the island of St. Bapliste off the coast of Brittany, the rest of it being enacted in more civihscd, or at least more refined places in England. There is the usual beautiful girl, in this case named Sidonio and the usual noble young man whose name is Warren Harding. He gets c-ist away on the * island, and is tended by bidonic. Plotting as to the lash beinn. the only (it thing for Sklonie, causes the lovers to escape to the mainland, where they are married. Then an earlier lovo of Warren s comes on the scene, and though she is now married, she tries to win back War ren. Many startling events follow, but ;• 11 ends happily and two loving hearts are finally welded in such a manner that sever anec is impossible. It is a good story well tola, and it is well supported
