, The Roslyn Platoon fired the!first of three competitions (two highest to count) for a prize presented by the commanding officer, on Saturday night in the Walcari Hall. Tho conditions were: Seven shots and an optional eightor ab 25 -yards. The following are some of the scores: —Armit 66, Logan (handicap 1) 65, Sinclair (2) 61, •Fountain (4) 61, Hay 59, Macikay (3) 58, Millar (5) 58. M'Georgo (2) 57, J. Randle (3) 56. . „ , The, PJatoon's team fired an interes'tthg match with Portobello, at Portobello. on Saturday. The conditions were 10 shots, with an optional sighter, at 50 yards. Considering that it was Caversham's first attempt at daylight shooting on. the long ranges, the result was very satisfactory. Results: — Portobello.—Clark 45, Lamond 44, J. J. M'Cartnoy 43, J. P.
