A meeting of the Dunedin Bowling Centre Executive was held last 'evening, Mr J. R. Glover presiding. The council forwarded a report of a meeting held on the 6th :nst., at which,it had been resolved to carry Professor Walker's motion as to allowing the use of weighted bowk A motion by Mr Holliwell that certificates be issued to .runncrs-up ia. the recent association tournament had" been' .defeated. —Tho report was received. Tho secretary (Mr Hanning) reported that up to date 24 rinks had entered for the Easter tournament, and it was resolved that tho draw take place on Saturday evening at 7.30. Mr Hughes reported that the Kaituna green .was not in a very fit state for play for' Jhe Easter tournament, and it was ■resolved to substitute Caversham green for it:
At the conclusion of a match between the West Harbour and Caledonian Clubs on the Caledonian green on Saturday a suggestion was made that a collection should be-taken up . with, the object of. making a donation tfi lii ■ (Jaledon-iin Society, which, had bren conducting the schools' sports meeting during the afternoon under somewhat adverse weather conditions. The lead was taken by Mr C. F. Greonsliido, and readily followed by the other players, with the result that £2 was handed over to the Caledonian Society. . '
