SICK AND WOUNDED.

THE INVALIDED MEN. COT AND HOSPITAL CASES. ON TOETJA AND "WILLOCHRA The local Defence office yesterday received an additional cablegram regarding the sick and wounded men who are on board the transports Tofua and Willociira. The chief value of this "check list is to show the more serious, or "cot, xa&es ana the hospital' l cases. There are eix of the former and 70 of the latter on board the Tofua, along with 11 convalescent cases, while on the Willochra there are 27 of the former and 129 of the latter. In the case of each vessel those men who are riot included in either of these lists will be able to prooeed to their homes. It may also be found that by the time the transports arrive here a proportion of the hospital oases may have improved sufficiently ■ to allow the men to' travel. This information has been supplied to us before it reaches the relatives of the men from; an official source in order that they may be acquainted, with the condition of tneir friends as early, as possible, this course having been rendered necessary owing to the short time intervening before the arrival of the vessels.
