SUPREME COURT SITTINGS.
(Pes United Press Association.) ' AUCKLAND, August 30. The sitting of the 'Supreme Court was ooncluded to-day with the hearing of the Onehunga .cases arising out of fraud on the Union Company, involving a substantial sum, by means of fictitious pay. sheets. William Saunders, William' Owens, and Richard Terrell were convicted of conspiracy, falsification, and forgery. Saunders was sentenced to three years, 'and Owens and Tyrrell to one year each. Henry Lloyd Davis, charged with false pretences in connection with the same offence, was sentenced to .six months' hard labour. . . A decree nisi was granted in William Bowder Stephens, formerly of Dargaville, v. Eliza Ann Stephens, on the ground of misconduct with Benjamin Eraerys Williams. The petitioner now resides in Christchurcli.
