: ANNUAL- MEETING. Tho annual oongrcgational meeting, of the Soutlr Dunedin Presbyterian. Church was held in the church last night. The Rev. E. Fair ma id presided; over ; a good attendance of members, and adherents. i, Jlr. Fairm'aid expressed, his pleasure at seeing so many present., and said',ho. was glad also' to.be able to be present 'annse'if.' He. was exkmsly . thaiikful to. Mr George Raid for the ready -manner in which h« lnwl served tho oongregatkin in any way 1 in his power. He thanlced the people also for their kind consideration' throughout tho year .and for their readiness to recognise whatever, was done on their 'behalf. He urged them all to faoe the future in' good heart and-with; great hope. - This nioeting ( he explained was a combination of the annual.congregational meeting and the visit, tation of a Presbyterial Committee, whielt was.represented by its convener, tho RevW. White moved the, adoption, of the annual report (already published), and referred to' ths very largo' amount of work being done by the various organisations of tho church.- That- work "was. being thnrpughly .well done,'ami ho believed 'that they belonged to a real live church, Their minister, Mi Favrmrcid, "was' an intense worfer'.; He referred to the debt the conowed to many of . its faithful workers, and to the need for a more isuitable Sunday school building. The motion was seconded by Mr Georgo Reid, who aJao moved a very hearty wjte of, thinks to the conductor and members of the choir, Tl» motions were earned unanimously. Mr E. Steele, in moving the adoption of the balance sheet, pointed out thcib tho congregation Ind started tho year with a credit balance, and. hod'ended it with a oredit balance, Tho motion was seconded by Mr D. Kaye, und carried • unanimously.' The meeting was then addressed by the Rev. W M'Donald, who apoke on the value and importance of time, and. the opportunities it brought in lifo for works *of faath and labours of love..
