ROBBING A BLIND MAN.

(Per. United Press Associa.tiok.) AUCKLAND, July 18. Charles Tronwitlc, a youth, 19 years of 'age, was this moraine: convicted- of tlie offence of robbing a blind man, the victim being Louis Lovich. The accused was entrusted. by Lovich with £5 lis, and was given instructions to take out a post ofiico order, which Lovich desired to send to his daughter in Christohurch. Tronwitk returned to him with a blank form in an envelope, which tho blind man received ill all good faith, and posted. The accused meanwhile went on a drinkiner lxmfc with several friends, spending some of the monoy, and apparently losing some. His solicitor (Mr Burton) explained' to the court that tho youth was a weakling in will and was not, particularly _ strong 'in intellect, bis idiosyncrasies lieinnf a considerable worry to his relatives, who were nrepared to refund tho amount involved. Tho bench ordered the accused to come up for sentence when required, with a proviso that the money bo refunded.
