EOLD-AG PENSIONER'S DEATH

Tlic local police received word from the Xewborrv telephone exchange 1 his morning that, the dead body of 11 man had been discovered in an old and neglected whore at the rear o[ Mi Fairc's property on (lie Xewlxrry line. Constable Minoguo was despatched to bring; the body in lo the Morgue. On arrival ho found it lying in a bunk in a state of decomposition. The man ha<l evidently been dead for some days, and tile face had been partially eaten by vats. As far as can 1m ascertained, the man's name is .John Dawson, an old-age pensioner. No one bad Keen him about, th<> whare or visited the nlace for a- long time, and the. body would probably have lain undiscovered for an indefinite lime had not the unpleasant smell attracted tho noticc of passers-by.
