WELLINGTON. January, 17. . The Registrar-General's vital statistics for DeoemW are as follow: —

The deaths in Dl'cember were ISO-α decrease of 46 on fho number ii/Novemlw. Of the total deaths males contributed 97 and females 83 1 forty-seven of tho deaths were of children under tire yoara of age, beinj? 20.56 per cent, of tlio whole number. Thirty-two of these were under one year of age. There were « deaths of persons of 65' years and upwards.
