GOLF TOURNAMENT.
(£er United Press, Association.) NAPIER, September 10. The Napier Golf Club's tournament was concluded on Saturday. In tho final for the Ladies' Championship Mis 3 Scott (Dunedin) played up to her usual standard and succeeded in beating Mus Perry 1 (Napier) by 4 up and 3 to play. Mrs Perry played well, but not Up to her Friday's game. The final for the Men's Championship. saw H. Kawhai (Napier) in splendid form, and' he played a grand game, getting 4 up on J. Harold (Wanganui) nt the eighteenth hole. In the second round Harold improved his play, but Kawhai 1 maintained .-his-'lead, and at the fifteenth hole won by 4 np and 3 to p?ay. The Ladies' Final Bogey -Handicap was . won by Mts A. A. Kennedy,: with Miss E, Davis second, and ■Mias l'odd third.' Tho Men's Pinal Bogey Handicap fell to H, J. Smith, with E. S. Pearce secondhand P. L. Gordon third. In tho ; Mixed- Foursomes Miss -N. ■Rutledge and H.' won,' Miss Gorrio and A, A Kennedy being'second, and Miss Gould and J. -IY >'Jardine third.. 1 At- the conclusion hearty cheers were given for :he two champions, and the' Maoris daiiced a haka in honour of ; Mr J; Harold/the runnerup for tho - championship; V £,:
