SHOT ON A RIFLE RANGE.
(Per United Press . Association.) NELSON, September 10. A fatal accident occurred on Saturday at the opening of tlio new range of the Uakatu Mounted Rifles at Stoke. There was a considerable attendance, and the wife of Captain. Trask fired the first shot, iff or which firing was continued. One shot was not marked, .and ! after no response to other shots an examination was made, with the result that tlio ' marker, ivas - found shot through the head. dead. Tho marker was named Charles Mills, was about 3i years of age, and leaves a widow-and four children.
