CLAIM AGAINST A GAOL SURGEON.
(Per United Press AssociAtibN.) WELLINGTON, September 2. Tho Supreme Court Eat to-night in order to finish the case Brown v. Teare, a claim for £2000 damages brought by an ex-convict against the gaol surgeon for alleged improper _ treatment. The jury, after 20 minutes' retirement, returned !i verdict in favour of defendant. Juclgriient was entered accordingly, with costs according to scale.
