THE WOOL SALES.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have, received the following cable from their London office:

"Wool: The sales gain firmness as they progress. Since the close of last sales scoured and greasy merino have advanced 15 to 20 per cent. ; greasy crossbred has advanced on ihe average 20 per cent., and scoured crossbred has advanced on the average 15 per cent." Messrs Dalgety and Co. have received tho following cable from their head office in London, dated Ist inst.:—" The wool sales continue with increasing spirit, and prices have gained further ground. Since our la^t telegram prices are 3 to 5 per cent; higher."
