The Selection Committee have selected the following-nine certainties to represent Otago on the Northern tour:—Austin, Broad, Baker, Hope, Johnston, Liggins, Siedeberg, Webb, an:l Williams. This leaves four more places to fill. The names of A. Downes and Msher do no appear in the above, as they will only be able to go as far as Wellington, but>tliey are almost certain to be included in the balance of the four. Geddes is the only player who is unable to make the trip. A Christchurch telegram states that the com-, mittee of the Cricket Association approved of January 4, 5, and 6 as the dates for the Otago Canterbury match. It was decided to suggest to the Wellington Association December; 23, 25, and 26 for the Canterbury-Wellington match, failing which to accept January 20, : 22, and 25 y At the request of the New Zealand Cricket Council, it was agreed to guarantee £50 for; a match between Canterbury and a Victorian team. •.-.'■'■
