NEW PLYMOUTH HARBOUR.

(Per United Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 20.

At the Harbour Board meeting to-day Mr Cliff gave notice to move at the next meeting that the board take the necessary steps to have a bill passed during the coming session of Parliament to enable the board to borrow £200,000 for harbour improvements. The steamers Takapvuia, Rotoiti, and Janet Nicoll, the latter drawing 13ft were berthed simultaneously at the wharf to-day. The improvement noted last month in the state of the harbour continues
