SUPPOSED SUICIDE OF A GIRL.

AUCKLAND, April 20.

The body of Miss Minnie Andrews, only daughter of A. S. Andrews, storekeeper, Hokianga, missing since last Thursday, was found to-day in a lonely gully at North Shore leading from the Calliope dock towards Sunnyside. A boy found, the body and informed the police. The bod;,- was much decomposed and partially eaten by rats. The girl had said life was not worth living. She had only recently returned from Dunedin, where she had been visiting friends. "'.'

Tho body was found in a singular manner. A boy was flying a kite when the string broke, the kite lodging half way down a cliff at Brick Bsty, near the Cutliorje' dock. Ho went down the face of the cliff to■ get tho kite, .and found the body on a, narrow ledge behind some titri. A satchel, umbrella, and hat wero lying hasido the body below the ledge. The cliff was 100 ft perpendicular. As a girl answc-r: ing to her description purchased laudanum, signing tho book as May Williams, Franklin road (no such person being found), it is supposed she selected this lonely place to die.
