News comes to hand' from Crayfish Island per s.s. Invorca.rgil! that Robinson and party have struck a very rich reef just under the place where Bradshaw arid party'obtained, about £6000-worth of gold some four years ago-. About 261b of stone has been taken out for 'assay, and practical miners who have seen the stone assert that it will go 500oz to the ton. The reef is situated on the north-west end of the island, and". commences only about four chains from the shore, and runs in a N.N.W. direction into; a hiil on the island.
