The Ministry have been interpellated in the Chamber o£ Deputies with reference to the secret dossier in the Dreyfus case, which it is said is calculated to affect the security of the State if not withheld from the Cassation Court, or unless the contents are not divulged. M. Brisson.denies that the security of the State will be affected, hence his asking for a revision of the case. M. Cavaignac said when in office the Government said only what he chose. The other documents showed the euilt of Dreyfus. A vote of confidence in the Government was carried by a large majority

It does not affect Dreyfus's case, but it proves Russian espionage with a view to securing patterns of quick-firing

cannon. The Times, commenting on the case,, says the Dreyfus inquiry is undergoing a mischievous reaction, and that MM. Dupuy and Ereycinet are conscious of the danger of a full disclosure.
