A vote of cocfiaence jn the Ministry was carried by 416 to 41. A■ Socialist, member, sps&kiog to the inotipu of confidence, condemned the terrorism of the sabre. He said it was Boulangism without JBoulanger. M. M6line admitted that the generals had gone too far. He Eaid that external sectarianism musS caase, or the age of intolerance would return. MM. Zslaand P^rreux intend to appeal againist their sentences. The German and Austrian newspapers, commenting on the Zola trial, cojademn the verdicr, and predict; that the fanaticism aroused in connection, therewith will react upon the French Rapublic. The Russian press lament the result of the trial as a blow to civilisation. (Received February 26, at 1.38 p.m.) Professor Griroaux, who during the recent trial swore that M. Billot asked the Cabinet to dismiss him because he signed a memorial pxpressiag belief in the illegality of the Dreyfus as-nfcence, has been dismissed from ihe professorship at the EcolePolytechnique. O&her witnesses who gave evidence in favour of M. Zola have also been punished.
