ROSLYN BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The inspector had been instructed to repair and screen the foothpath on ■ Miehie street extension, to remove a small back of clay in Auu street, near Freeman's property, and to spread some rotten rock and cinders, where required, on Ruthven street, Rutherglen ; to ficreea the footpath in se-.veral places oil the Littlebourae ro*d ; and to prepare a plan and make nn estimate of the probable cosb of a road 30£t wide through the Corporation reserves, from the present formation as far as'the top of Brockville.—Adopted.

He would be inclined, tb make the amount £50.—The matter then dropped. The committee recommended that accounts amounting to £85 12s ,6d be passed for payment. The overdraft at the bank was £832.—The report was adopted. ' .. ■ ■ PETITION. A petition was forwarded, signed by 31 residents, asking that a voad leading to the Flagstaff from tUa North Taieri road be widened. •It was df.oidsd that a. survey be made showing ■what the boundaries of the road were, cost not to exceed £3 3s. ■ '■: ' ■ - - ■ MOTIONS. 16 was resolved—" That fres'a tenders be called for the contract given up by Mr Mathesoa, and thst the Works Committee ba authorised vo accept the most suitable." It was resolved—" That the conncil authorise the Works Committee to deal with the matter of the road through tho council's reserves, and th&fc should tho amount of estimate nob exceed £200, the £25 already voted bs handed to the Beaevoleut Trustees for the purpose of receiving the subsidy under the Hospitals and Charitable Aid Act."
