Messrs Moritzson and Hopkin, millers, grain, produce, and commission agents, corner Bond and Jetty streets, Dunedin, report (wholesale) as follows for week ending July 17, 1895. All quotations subject to market fluctuations :— Wheat: We have good inquiry both for milling and fowls' wheat —any coining forward can be placed at quotations. Velvet, 3s 9d to 3s lid ; Tuscan, 3s 9d to 3slOd; red chaff, 3q 9d fowls' wheat, from 2s 9d to 3s b'd. Oats : Demand good. Prime milling, Is lid; best bright short feed, Is 9:3 to Is lOd; medium, Is 7d to Is Bd. We have buyers for all qualities in any quantity! Two shillings is now asked for I) grade at the Eluff, sacks in, f.o.b. Barley : There is inquiry in this line A few lots are taken up for milling and feed purposes at from Is 9d to 2s 4d ;: malting, if prime, 2s Sd. Potatoes : Good northern 42s 6d to 455; southern, 32s 6d to 37s 6d. We can place at quotations. Chaff: 57s 6d-to 60s for prime quality, well-cut oaten sheaf. Ryegrass • We are kept busy cleaning, and- are findin? buyers for the bulk of the lines. Machinedressed perennial, 3s 6d to 4s ; undressed; small, snotty seed, 2s 8d to 3s ; dirty lots from 2s to 2s 6d! We have good inquiry for clean 'and uncleaned seed. Cocksfoot: Samples on application.' Values range from 5d to 5Jd for good seed. .Farmers' lots, 3td to 4d.
