GRAIN AND SEED REPORT.
Messrs .William E. Reynolds and Co., Stafford street, report for the week ending 17th July as follows :—
Wheat: Thore is little, .if any, change-to note. Holders are firm, and buyers apparently indifferent. We quote prime velvet up to 4«; Tus. can, 3s lid; red sorts, 3s 9d to ?,s lOd ; fowl feed (scarce), 3s 3d to 3s b'd. Oats: These remain firm, and though some business is pasting quietly buyers are not inclined to operate frerly at all. Stocks in stores are small, and arrivals almost nil, and »c therefore do net fear any decline, and quote prime milling up to Is lOd ; do feed. Is 9d ■ medium feed, Is 7$ to Is S£d. Chaff is easier, and arrivals have been heavy lately. Extra prime is worth up to £3 ss; prime, £3 ; medium, £2 7s Cd to £2 15s per ton. Potatoes are also easier, and top price to-day is £2 5s for northern ; ordinary quality hard to quit at from £115s to £2 per ton. beeds are now. receiving some attention, but mostly in a wholesale way. Both ryegrass. and cocksfoot ai-e firm, and really good quaHties— of which we always have a good stock—are somewhat ecarco. r
