Derwents —last week the markot was barely sup-' plied, and we realised from 60s to 655, but as tho weather improved plenty came forward, and prices receded to 555. Pigs: In good demand, 3Jd to 3_d for prime quality. Chaff: Prima well-cut oaten sheaf, 60s to 02s 6d; medium quality, 52s Hd to 57s 6d. Straw, oaten and wheaten, 30s. Clover and ryegrass hay, 60s. Butter: Salt, 8d io Bid—at the latter price wo sold sevoral parcels—iv demand; good keg butter wanted. Eggs scarcer and rising. Honey, 4Jd for extracted. Cheese : Akaroa—large, 3Jd to. 4d ; small, 4Jd ; factory makes —large, 41d to 4id ; loaf sizes, sd. Hams and bacon; Hams, 8d ; rolls s_d to Od, sides s_d. Grass seeds: Ryegrass— farmers' lots, 2s to 2s 6d ; machine dressed, 3s to* 3s 6d ; cocksfoot, 3_d to 4d ; Italian ryegrass, _& fld to 4s 6d. Kainit, or German potash salt, L 5, Pamphlets on application. Superphosphates, L(S ss. We can supply good second-hand butter casks and cases at 3s each. Good second-hand: grain and flour bags fit to hold grain. Binder twine, 5d per lb. Cocoanuts, 6s per sack ; dessicated cocoanut, 7d to 8d per lb. We are also sole agents for Hcllaby's moats, Uiv::.'j VVuio mullet, and tho Atlas tobacco and cigarettes. Rye corn, for which we have account sales from Hamburg, we are prepared to ship and make advance. Onions, 3s 3d to 4s. Poultry : Ducks, 3s to 3s 7d ; geese, 5s to 6s 6d ; young cocks, poor birds, ls 9d to 2s; well grown, 2s i)d to 3s 4d; hens, 2s to 2s Bd. No turkeys. Fresh butter scarce; Prime salt in good demand. We have cleared everything j forward at B_d (kegs extra), and can place any . quantity at the same price; inferior, 4d to 6d. i JEggs, scarce.
