ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Auckland, March 23,

Mary Stock, aged 23 years, the wife of Cecil Stock, settler, near Waiuku, was killed at Waiuku last night by the upsetting of a trap. Stock was married yesterday at Auckland, and was taking his wife home when the accident occurred. The deceased's parents, named Gerrard live at Devonport.

A fatal accident occurred yesterday at 11.30 a.m. to William Henry Sanson, a quarryman employed at the Port Chalmers quarry. Sanson was alone at a crane moving a stone, when the break of the crane, beingwet, slipped, and the handle of the break broke and struck Sanson over the heart. He was at once Ittended to by Dr Cunninghame and taken to his residence, but he never recovered consciousness and died at 2 p.m. Deceased was about 55 years of age, was married, but with no family.
