The second of the three test matches arranged to be played between Lord Sheffield's team of English cricketers and a combined Australian Eleven was commenced here to-day. The Australians went in first, the innings closing for 144- runs, to which Lyons contributed 4-1, Moses 28, Turner 15, and Bruce 15. In the trundling department Attewell took one wicket for 25 runs and Lohmann eight for SO. Wfien stumps were drawn for the day the Englishmen's score stood at 38 without the loss of a wicket. Grace is not out with 25 and Abel not out with 15.
